Thank you so much Alyssa and Brian for hosting Greg and I. Please note all opinions are my own.
It’s that time of year where you’re running on fumes and a burn out is one holiday event away. You leave one busy season to get thrown into an even busier one. All of the busy fall weekends pour into Thanksgiving and then Christmas. There really isn’t a moment to just breathe, especially if you have kids. There are dance recitals and band and orchestra concerts. Let’s not forget luncheons and tree lightenings. It’s a never ending to-do list with very little time to relax. Greg and I knew if we were going to get through the holidays as our best selves we needed a break! We were able to arrange a stay at The Carolina Treehouse to reset, refocus and reconnect. If we didn’t do it before Thanksgiving, it would never happen. So, in the middle of the week, we headed to Charlotte to stay at a secluded oasis outside of the city.

When we arrived to the treehouse we knew it was the perfect place to relax! No distractions. The perfect description for this place is peaceful. They don’t have a tv so this allows you really to put your focus into other things you may not get to do, like read, play games, and get outside. They have games available but Greg and I brought our own. They didn’t miss on the details, at all! They offered two kayaks, cornhole, and outside swing bed, fire pit, a wrap around deck, egg chairs to sit, and the coolest outside shower. Inside: There is a refrigerator, stove top, table and chairs, vinyl record player, a very comfy bed, etc. One of my favorite details were the journals they leave out for their guest to write about their stay. Pages and pages of satisfied guest. I was giddy to join them!

The owners, Alyssa and Brian, honestly goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is a great one. We were extremely comfortable, truly a home away from home. The only thing I regret is not having an extra day or 3. lol We got so good about not having an agenda or rushing out of bed first thing in the morning. We got to enjoy our hot chocolate on the deck and spend the afternoons in bed. We stayed up playing games and me reading.
However, if you choose to hang out in the city, it’s not far away. Charlotte has plenty of dining and shopping. Trust me, I used to live here. Lol You can catch a show or go to a lounge. The host has great suggestions to provide as well!
It was a 10/10 experience. If you need a reset, this is your place. Here is the link to book! Let me know what you think. Would you stay here?
