I wanted to get this blog out before the last Super Spring Saturday(5/28) at Washington Farms. The kids and I had a great time there two weeks ago strawberry picking and enjoying all of their Super Spring Saturday activities. And our time on the farm was too good not to share. If you’re not familiar with Washington Farms they are located in Bogart, Georgia about 20 minutes from Athens. They used to have a farm in Loganville, Georgia that is now permanently closed. They have a big field where you can go strawberry picking and for several weeks in the spring, they have an event called Super Spring Saturdays. This is where they set up a ton of activities for all ages to enjoy. And the best part is it’s only $15.99 per person for any one over the age of 2. This price included all of the activities which I’ll list below and free entry into the strawberry fields. You will want to grab your tickets online because they are about $4.00 more at that door. We spent about four hours at the farm, yes four hours, that’s how much things there were for us to do.

Once we arrive to the farm we decided to do strawberry picking first. They give you a bucket which you must use to pick your strawberries in. The bucket cost is $1.50 but you can transfer the strawberries into your own container at the end to eliminate purchasing the bucket. You also have the option to bring one of their buckets from the last season to use. Each bucket that you fill up is considered a pound and it’s approximately $15 plus tax at the end. It was so much fun going through the fields picking out the best strawberries.

After finishing up strawberry picking we met up with some friends and headed to the other part of the farm where the activities were. There was everything from paint balling to zip-lining. All of the kids including Nori had so much. She could have stayed in the swing for hours. They also have food so you can pause for lunch and then keep going with your day. Here is a list of all of the activities you can do. You’ll want to spend a few hours here to do everything.

- Jumping pillows & Jumping pad
- Cow train
- Paint ball
- Basketball
- obstacle courses

I’m going to share the website here so you can just see for yourself how many things there are to do!! I’m already looking forward to heading back in the fall as they have so many different fall activities as well. Again, you have just two more weekends to head to Washington Farms. Go and enjoy. Otherwise you’ll have to wait until the next season for Super Spring Saturdays but strawberry picking does go until June before they start their flower fields. If get the chance to go please let me know what you think.
