Creating Christmas Magic in Nox and Nori’s Shared Room

Gah! Can you even believe it’s already December?! I blinked, and here we are. I’m three days behind on Blogmas, but I’m definitely not giving up. Every year, I tell myself I’ll be consistent, and every year, I’m not. This time though I’m just going to show up.

I miss the days of grabbing my coffee, catching up on the blogs I follow, and writing my own. Busyness keeps me stuck but so does doom scrolling. So, I’ve decided to lock my phone away until 10 a.m. most mornings while I focus on my blog and catch up on some of my favorites.

Day 1 of Blogmas: Sharing Nox and Nori’s holiday room!

One of my favorite things about the holiday season is decorating and Nox and Nori’s shared room just got a holiday makeover! Turning their space into a cozy Christmas wonderland brings so much joy and not just for them, but for me, too. This year, I wanted to create something magical and full of warmth, where every detail feels like a page out of a holiday storybook.

After wrapping their tree in white “snow”, they got to decorate it theirselves!

As soon as you step into their room, the Christmas cheer is undeniable. The centerpiece is a slender cashmere pencil tree that stands perfectly between their beds. It’s filled with keepsake ornaments from past years, as well as a few new ones they excitedly picked out this year. I love how the tree brings a warm glow to the room, making it feel extra special when the lights are dimmed in the evening.

Their beds are dressed in their usual Beddy’s bedding, (use code: CHELLEB for 15% off) which makes tidying up effortless. To make them extra festive, I added gingerbread throw blankets and whimsical gingerbread and peppermint pillows. Above each bed, I hung a framed holiday print, an art piece from olive+opal and lined them with garland, adding a playful yet elegant touch to their sleeping space.

On their dresser, a small tabletop tree with tiny ornaments, surrounded by nori’s musical box and other festive trinkets that make the room feel magical. I found these small mini stockings with their initials and hung them from the closet door. They will be perfect for tucking in little surprises throughout December. 🥹I also hung a wreath above the baskets on the wall that hold their beloved Cuddle + Kind dolls.

One of their favorite spots is the book nook. Their Nugget Comfort is layered with a cozy white tree blanket and cheerful festive pillows, creating the perfect little hideaway for holiday reading sessions. The bookshelf is lined with all our favorite Christmas books. I hung a tapestry, garland, and a festive sign to tie it all together. It’s a space where stories come to life and holiday dreams begin. I love cuddling up in this corner for story time!

Nori’s Santa sack is tucked beside her bed, with extra blankets. It’s such a small touch, but it brings the corner together.

Seeing their faces light up when they walked into the room was the best part. Every piece of decor has a story or a purpose, whether it’s a memory tied to an ornament or the coziness of their nook during a bedtime story. This little holiday retreat feels like a reflection of the joy and wonder of Christmas itself.

I hope this inspires you to bring a little extra magic into your own home this season. For me, creating this space for Nox and Nori is one of the highlights of the holidays, and I love knowing that these memories will stay with them forever.
